Hello!
I am Firas, a Delhi-based Digital Humanities professional who is interested in mapping cultural histories and historiography through games, archives and digital story-telling. I come from a background in architecture and design, and graduated with a Master’s in Digital Humanities, in 2019.
Most recently, I worked on building an online archive documenting incidents of Islamophobia in India for the Quill Foundation, New Delhi. I have also been documenting civilian deaths and oral narratives from Kashmir in my project 'Souvenirs of Conflict'...
Currently, I am looking for opportunities to explore engaging ways of researching and visualizing complex social issues in the Indian sub-continent. Through creative methods and outputs, I hope to make my work accessible to a larger audience.
As a reward for visiting Digitizing the Humanities, here is a Spotify playlist for you.
